
ATCHISON COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating a Kansas felon on new drug allegations.
Just after 7p.m. May 24, an officer on patrol stopped a vehicle in the 900 block South 7th Street in Atchison for a traffic violation, according to Police Chief Mike Wilson.
Jason Thomas, 55, Cummings, was subsequently found in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
He was booked into the county jail on requested charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, transporting an open container, expired tag on vehicle, driving without required ignition interlock device, and no proof of insurance. He has a previous drug possession conviction, according to the Kansas Department of Corrections.
