WORTH COUNTY—Two people were injured in an accident just before 2:30a.m. Sunday in Worth County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2023 Polaris Ranger driven by Donato I. Chesnut, 20, Maryville, was northbound on Cedar Avenue at 100 Road five miles north of Sheridan.
The driver failed to negotiate a curve in the road. The UTV traveled off the east side of the road and overturned. The driver and passenger identified Dakota J. McMahon, 21, Maryville were ejected.
The UTV struck Chesnut, a fence and an embankment.
An air-ambulance transported Chesnut to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph. Worth County EMS transported McMahon to Mosaic in St. Joseph. They were not wearing helmets, according to the MSHP.
