David L. Mollus, 88, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2026.
He was born November 12, 1937 to Joseph Jr. and Irene (Schwope) Mollus in St. Joseph, Missouri.
David married the love of his life, Janet Link on July 12, 1957. They were married 67 years before she passed in June of 2025.
He was a long-time member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
David also devoted his time to various organizations. Among these were the American Legion Post #11, where he contributed to the betterment of his fellow veterans, and the Amateur Radio Club, where he not only served as president but also fostered connections and friendships through the airwaves.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife; brother, Robert Mollus.
Survivors include his children, Karen Mollus (Lisa Pelofsky), Kelly Lowrance (Gregg), Eric Mollus (Tara), Steven Mollus (Janice), Benjamin Molllus (Melissa), Jeremy Mollus, Jill Morgan (Guy), Adam Mollus, Melinda Edwards (Jason), and Michael Mollus (Jovonna); 26 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous other extended family members and friends.
Farewell Services and Public Livestream 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will gather with friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.
