CLINTON COUNTY —One person died in an accident just after 3p.m. Monday in Clinton County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 1999 Chevy SUV driven by Dakota L. Barnes, 19, Tracy, was southbound on SW County Line Road one mile east of Trimble. The SUV rear-ended a 2018 Freightliner Straight truck driven by Brian L. Niffen, 51, Holt, that was slowing to make a left turn.
Smithville EMS transported Barnes to North KC hospital. Niffen was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the MSHP.
