Nancy Carol Gannan, 83, of Bethany, Missouri, passed away October 3. 2025, at a North Kansas City, Missouri hospital.

Nancy was born on August 6, 1942 in Fairfield, California to Steven Andrew and Rose Helen (Goetz) Horvath. She lived most of her youth in Wheatland, Wyoming and graduated from Wheatland High School in 1960. Just prior to graduation, Nancy began her career in banking at Wheatland, a career that would last for 60 years.

In 1961 while on vacation in Missouri, Nancy met the love of her life, John Gannan, on a blind date. In 1962, Nancy moved to Kansas City. On December 1, 1963 in Wheatland, Wyoming, Nancy and John were united in marriage. Together, they had three children, Shonna Renae, John William II, and Robert Scott. During their entire married life, they lived in Bethany.

In addition to her career in banking, Nancy was actively involved in community activities, including helping with the summer baseball and softball leagues in Bethany. She spent countless hours at the ballfields, setting up the snack stand, arranging for umpires and scorekeepers for tournaments, keeping score for the team, and purchasing uniforms for the softball teams. She loved watching her children and grandchildren participate in sports and other school events. She was no doubt an avid sports fan. In addition, she loved shopping for material and making quilts, plus growing flowers and gardening.
