Soon to be former Northwest Missouri State University President John Jasinski will take over as the interim provost at Missouri State University.

The announcement of Jasinski was made by Missouri State President Clif Smart today [Tues.].

Jasinski will leave Northwest at the end of the month after his contract was not renewed by the Board of Regents. He has been President at the University since 2009.

He will take over the position for one year beginning July 1st, with some flexibility to extend the contract another year if needed.
