Linda S. (Huey) Ambrozi, 72, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Monday July 7, 2025.
On September 11, 1952 God made the choice to place her in the care of the most loving parents He could find, Winford Dale Huey Sr. and Elizabeth (Grooms) Huey.
Linda was a 1970 graduate of Lafayette High School.
On December 3, 1994, Linda married Eric Ambrozi. He preceded her in death on December 29, 2004.
Linda had a variety of skills that she used at different jobs during her life. She was a bartender at Barbosa’s and later at Ground Round, then worked at Sherwood Medical until it closed during the Flood of 1993. She then worked at Nestle and Mead Products before settling in at Gray Manufacturing, where she worked until retirement. Following that, she helped in various ways at the VFW Post 6760.
Linda loved animals, especially her dogs, and was a food connoisseur, which she got to indulge while running Ambrozi Foods with her husband.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and her brother, Dennis Wayne Huey.
Survivors include her stepchildren, Jason Mulvaney, Kimberly Ambrozi and Eric Christopher Ambrozi, along with several step grandchildren. Siblings, Debbie Rogers (Buddy), W. Dale Huey, Jr. (Donna), and Christopher Huey (Michelle); sister-in-law,
Mary Helen Huey; 8 nephews, 1 niece, extended family and friends; and her beloved dog, Izzy.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 Sunday, July 13, 2025 at the Rupp Funeral Home. Cremation under the direction of Simplify Cremations & Funerals. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Friends of the Animal Shelter.
