Mary Frances Logan, an exceptional family matriarch and devoted wife, was born on the 27th of December 1949, in the bustling city of Saint Louis, MO, to loving parents, Paul and Eva Kovac. The Lord called her home on the 2nd of September 2023, in the peaceful confines of her home in Saint Joseph, MO. Her life was guided by a deep-rooted faith that illuminated every day of her existence with a radiant love.
Mary graduated in the class of 1968 from Bishop LeBlond High School and married her high school sweetheart, John, on April 12, 1969. They were married for 54 years. She later made her mark in business, contributing significantly as the co-owner of Kovac’s Grocery Store. She had a keen eye for opportunity and a hand always stretched out in service, traits that were apparent in the success and longevity of the store. Her professional achievements were a testament to her tenacity, hard-working nature, and unyielding spirit.
Despite her professional accomplishments, Mary's true achievements were rooted in the home, in the loving relationships she cultivated with her husband, children, and grandchildren. Mary is survived by her devoted husband, John Logan, their children, John Paul and wife Mireya Logan, Jeannette Logan, Eric Logan and wife Ashley Logan, and Josh Logan; her grandchildren, Ryan, Isabella, Hayden, and Ezekiel, who will remember her as a doting grandma who was never too busy for hide n seek in Kovac’s grocery store or a game of cards.
She leaves behind joyful memories and a great legacy with her siblings as well - PJ Kovac and wife Ronda, Mike Kovac and wife Tami, Mark Kovac and wife Susie, Sharon Edwards and husband Scott, Michelle France and husband Todd, Matt Kovac and wife Charity. Mary's presence will be cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws whom she shared countless moments of love and laughter with.
She is preceded in death by parents, Paul and Eva Kovac, and her sister, Jeannette Kovac.
Mary was a woman endowed with love which she generously showered on those around her. She was faith-filled and selfless, radiating joy and comfort to everyone she met. Her culinary skills were well-known, providing tangible evidence of the warmth and care that she put into every single part of her life. Her children were her world, and her grandchildren were her universe. She viewed every opportunity to spend time with her family as a special occasion, even traveling the world to ensure she didn't miss any precious moments.
Mary's accomplishments were a reflection of her unwavering love for her family and an enduring commitment to her faith. She epitomized the essence of motherhood and the spirit of a committed wife. Her tremendous selflessness will always be remembered, and the memories she leaves behind will forever be cherished.
