Shannon Kirk William Anderson, 52, of St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Sunday, October 12, 2025 at his home in St. Joseph.
He was born March 21, 1973 in Winchester, KS, son of Nina Anderson. He graduated from Leavenworth High School. On January 22, 2000, he married Carmen Stewart in St. Joseph. Shannon previously worked at Green Hills- South as the Produce Manager. One of his greatest memories was traveling to England. He enjoyed cooking, cleaning, collecting Star Wars memorabilia, watching his favorite football team, KC Chiefs and movies. Shannon was preceded in death by great-aunt, Linda Wonka.
Survivors include wife, Carmen Anderson of the home, his mother, Nina Spillman of Eudora, KS, children, Martel Stewart (Alyssa Bright), Nathan Jones (Ace's mother), Anthony Anderson, Aliyah Anderson (Kenny) of St. Joseph, brothers, Anthony (Jessa) Burkitt and Robert Burkitt of Eudora, KS, grandchildren, Soraya, Emberlyn, Ace, Kowen and grandson due in January. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, October 17, 2025 at the Rupp Funeral Home. Mr. Anderson will be cremated following the visitation. Memorials are requested to the Shannon Anderson Memorial Fund, c/o Rupp Funeral Home.
