Lynn Rodvelt, 63, of rural Hiawatha, KS died on Friday, April 25, 2025, at the University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus in Topeka, KS.
Friends may call at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Hiawatha after 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Tuesday. A private family graveside service will be held at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Everest with Pastor Bud Elliott officiating.
Lynn was born on January 8, 1962 in Hiawatha, KS, the daughter of Fred and Mary (Brook) Gilbert. She was one of 6 siblings in her family. Lynn graduated from Horton High School in 1980. She was married to the love of her life David Rodvelt on July 19, 1980 and they lived in Brown County. Lynn worked locally her whole life in various places including NEK CAP, Horton Headlight, Bank of Horton, Horton Hospital, Brown County Courthouse, NEK Agency on Aging, Hemisphere GPS, Native American Family Services, and Little Hands.
Lynn loved to travel, especially to a tropical beachy location. Lynn and her husband recently took a trip to Niagara Falls. She spent her time crocheting blankets for her kids and grandkids. Lynn was always doing a craft project and baking delicious goodies with her grandkids. The most enjoyable moments for Lynn was when she was with her kids and grandkids.
Survivors include her husband Dave Rodvelt, Hiawatha, KS, one daughter Kelli (Matt) Franzenburg, Lenexa, KS, one son Kyle (Michele) Rodvelt, Hiawatha, KS, six grandchildren Ashley (Austin) Spielman, Horton, KS, Kaelyn Kimmi, Everest, KS, Trenton Kimmi, Hiawatha, KS, Kynlee Rodvelt, Hiawatha, KS and Braden and Addison Franzenburg, Lenexa, KS and 5 siblings. Her parents preceded her in death.
