The St. Joseph Police Department has announced on Facebook its support for the annual partnership between Special Olympics and Jersey Mike’s Subs during the restaurant’s "Month of Giving" campaign.
On Wednesday, participating Jersey Mike’s locations will donate 100% of all sales to support Special Olympics athletes across the country. The initiative aims to provide year-round sports training, athletic competition, and health-related programming for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Local law enforcement officials are encouraging community members to visit area locations for lunch or dinner to contribute to the fundraising effort. The department noted that every purchase made throughout the day directly impacts the opportunities and experiences available to the athletes.
