Marie Elaine Bird 84, passed away Saturday, February 14, 2026 in a health care center in Gower, MO.
She was born November 3, 1941 in St. Joseph, MO, daughter of Madeline and William Bird Sr. She graduated from Faucett High School. She retired from the Platte City Post Office as a mail carrier, and she was a caretaker for many friends and family. Above all Marie loved being with her grandchildren at the farm. Her home church was Faucett Baptist Church, and she was very generous, tithing to her church and missionaries.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents, son, Kyle Roach, brother, William Everett Bird Jr, and sister, Rose Marie "B.B." Foster.
Survivors include: daughters, Tracy (Randy) Willy of Faucett, MO, Terri Roach of Imperial, NE, son, Rod (Jennifer) Roach of Dearborn, MO sister, Jean (Jerry) Parker of St. Joseph, MO, grandchildren, Riley, Gracie, Josie Roach, Courtney Lawson, Kasie Gerke, and Tyler and Ryan Willy.
The family will receive friends for a Celebration of Life from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at the Rupp Funeral Home. Memorials requested to Noyes Home. The Inurnment will be at the Faucett Cemetery.
