The St. Joseph Performing Arts Association has announced a stellar new season for 2026 and 2027, starting later this fall with performances of all types and genres.

Performing Arts Association Executive Director Paul Storiale says after the success of its previous season, there is a lot of excitement for the new season of performances.

"In seasons past we have always waited a month before we announced our new season, or at least 15 days, this year we wanted to announce it right after our last show," Storiale says on the KFEQmunnity show.

The season consists of seven shows, and two special performances. The special performances are not included in the season ticket packages, but still occur during the 2026-27 Performing Arts Association season, which kicks off in August with a performance by 2025 American Idol runner up John Foster.

"This guy is incredible," Storiale explains. "Country music, a couple years ago I made the decision that we have to have more country music, and so last year we had Randy Travis come into town with his band, and this year is John Foster. John Foster is an absolute talent, 19 years old, he'll be 20 when he's here, but he's currently 19 years old touring with huge names, opening for I believe Luke Bryant, this guy is incredible and we have him right here in St. Joseph."

Limited tickets are still available for the John Foster Concert, which will be August 8th at the historic Missouri Theatre. Also during the season there will be several tribute band performances, including the Bee Gees, Foreigner and Journey, Divas of Soul, and Rumors.

Storiale says whatever performance you choose to see during the 2026-27 season, you're sure to be seeing the best of the best.

"If you were to search on your own for the best tribute bands for these particular groups, these are the ones you would say are the best, and we do a lot of research," Storiale says. "Sometimes we go out and see them first before we book them and make sure, they're good enough for what we do."

You can book your season tickets, with several different packages, by visiting Ticketstotheshow.com. Season tickets are on sale through May 25th, and afterwards individual ticket sales will go on.
