Jeffrey Lynn Miller, 67, went Home on Thursday, March 26th, 2026 in Manhattan, KS.  He was born June 22nd,1958 to Stanley Irving and Shirley Ann Miller in Herkimer, NY and was raised in the Mohawk Valley where he met his beloved Diana Nadine Williams and they married on 7/7/78. They were the true picture of love for the 36 years they spent together raising their daughters and making memories. His “a” girls were his life and he was our hero and happy place.

Jeff joined the Air Force where he served with honor and integrity under the Strategic Air Command.  He earned commendations and mentored fellow service members, then followed his military retirement by continuing to protect and serve with careers in the local prison systems and with the Dept of Defense on Ft Leavenworth.  A proud member of Masonic Lodge #45 in Easton, KS, and the Widows Sons Motorcycle Riding Association of which he was a founding member of the Green Dragons chapter, his bond with his brotherhoods was cherished and revered.  Whether it was teaching motorcycle safety, joining honor rides and charity poker runs, or just taking in something beautiful.  When he wasn’t cracking dad jokes, he loved to tell people “there is no therapy like wind therapy”.   You could often also catch him cheering on the NY Rangers and KC Chiefs games on tv or playing fetch with his 4-legged best buddies.

Jeffrey was preceded in death by the love of his life Diana, his mother Shirley, his father Stanley, and his older brother Stanley.  He is survived by his daughter Christa (Danny) Grunewald, his daughter Laura (Andrew) Lewis III, his grandchildren Andrew Lewis IIII and Hannah Lewis, his brother Richard (Sabine) Miller, his sister Linda (David) Smithson, and countless nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and adopted kids he considered his own.  If you were one of the lucky, you knew you were loved by someone special.

“The gift my father gave me every day of my life was believing in me”

“Goodbye feels too small for such a big part of my heart”

After “Nanook’s” Last Ride, his celebration of life will be held at Davis Funeral Chapel, 531 Shawnee St, Leavenworth KS, with military honors beginning at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 11, 2026.  The family invites you to join in a fellowship lunch at First Baptist Church, 340 N 13th St, Leavenworth KS at 4:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers any memorial donations can be made to the Good Shepard Homecare & Hospice, 3801 Vanesta Dr, Manhattan, KS 66503
