David Albert Fritz, of Savannah, MO passed away on June 30, 2024 at home.
David was born on August 29, 1947 to Albert and Margaret Fritz in Falls City, NE.
After David graduated from Falls City High School in 1965, he served in the Army National Guard for 8 years.
While in the Guard he worked for Gibson's International Equipment. In 1981, he began working for Derr Equipment totaling 58 years of service as an International Harvester mechanic.
In 1981, David married Karen Voltmer Russell in Craig, MO. David and Karen went on to raise 5 children.
David enjoyed hunting, but always made it a priority to spend time with and loving on his grandkids.
He loved to watch them compete in sporting events and enjoying a meal afterwards to remind them what is really important....Family.
David was preceded in death by his parents and brother Gerald.
David is survived by his loving wife; Karen of the home, children; Angie Flowers (Mike), Tanya Alden (Jon), Jonathan Russell (Dana), Kristi Copeland (Scott), Clarissa Wollard (Jason). Grandchildren; Tyler (Stephanie) Steele, Sydney Flowers, Rylee Alden, Makenna Alden, Hillary (Miles) Loucks, Rachel Russell, Gianna Russell, Dylan Russell, Derek Russell, Max Wollard, Christopher Myers (Mary), Matthew Copeland (Brittany), Kelsey Copeland, Great grandchildren: Remi Kay Loucks, Jaselyn Myers, Addison Myers, Kynlee Myers, Elias Copeland, Titus Copeland, Gideon Copeland, Matthew Copeland, brother: Kenneth (Jeannine), sister: Marjorie Dahlstrom, and Sister-in-law Norma, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday evening July 3, 2024 at the Heaton~Bowman~Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. in St. Joseph.
