Joe E. Adams, 89, passed away Friday September 19, 2025 at his home in Easton Ks.
Born September 12, 1936 to John and Ruth Adams in Easton KS.
Married to Louise Asbury in Easton KS.
He joined the United States Navy on the USS Bache DDE470 from 1955 to 1959. After serving his country he worked a short time at Hallmark in Leavenworth, then went to work for the United States Bureau of Prisons and retired after 27 years of service. He then worked for USD 449 and then moved on to work for the Leavenworth County Council on Aging. He was a member of the United Methodist Church for 82 years and served as President of the Easton Cemetery for 30 years.
Preceded in death by wife Louise Adams, daughter Heather Adams and sister Alice Culbertson. Survived by sons Micheal Adams, Easton KS, Frank Adams, Weston, MO, and William Adams, Leavenworth KS. Brother John Adams and sister Ruth Ann Grafke, Leavenworth, KS. Grandchildren Courtney, Micheal, Dexter, Jordan, Montanna and Walker. Great Grandchildren Jacey, Nora, Max, Beckham, Jase, Luca, Braxton, Moxen, Kooper and Asher.
Memorial contributions are suggested in lieu of flowers to Easton United Methodist Church on 4th St Easton, KS 66020. Visitation will be held Thursday at 10 am September 25, 2025 with the funeral following at 11am at the Easton United Methodist Church. Burial will be at the Easton Cemetery following the funeral. Reception will follow at the United Methodist Church Hall. Arrangements entrusted to Davis Funeral Chapel.
