Howard L. Propheter, age 71 of York, NE, formerly of Wathena, Kansas died Thursday, October 29, 2020 in Lincoln, Nebraska. 

He was born November 3, 1948 in Wathena, KS, to Clyde and Alice (Deverill) Propheter. In March of 1980 Howard was united in marriage to Carlene Unruh in Emporia Kansas.&nbsp;

Howard retired in 2009 as a Mechanical Engineer at Altec Industries. He was a member of Huffman United Methodist Church in St Joseph, MO, a member of the Masonic Lodge in Wathena, KS and was an alumni of the University of Kansas. Howard loved spending time with his grandchildren and working on his farm.&nbsp;

He is survived by his son Jonathan (Lindsey) Propheter of York, and his grandchildren Jonah, Eli, Hannah, Leah, and Caleb.&nbsp;

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.&nbsp;

Diann Davis Heimerman  1948 - 2020

Wayne Albertson, of rural Robinson, died Friday morning, October 30, 2020, at his home surrounded by his family.&nbsp; He was 76.

Wayne was born at Horton, July 26, 1944, the only child born to Luther and Wilma Goodman Albertson and was a lifelong resident of the Robinson area.&nbsp; He graduated from Robinson High School and Highland Community College.&nbsp; Wayne, being a third generation Norwegian farmer, did not back down from challenges, he seemed to thrive on them: whether it was Church Board, Mission Township Board, Wolf River Watershed Board or the Conservation Board, he would take the extra initiative to get a project figured out and completed.&nbsp; Wayne was always thinking about a better way to farm, which usually led to an idea to build something in the shop.

Wayne was a lifelong steward of the land and had a passion for conservation of the land wanting to leave it in better shape than he found it.&nbsp;&nbsp; He personally ran the bulldozer, making land improvements all through his life as long as he was able.&nbsp; Conservation was always something he not only believed in but was actively practiced.&nbsp; There was nothing he took more pride in and enjoyed more than constructing a terrace.

The love of traveling started when his children were old enough to travel.&nbsp; The destination started with many trips to Colorado.&nbsp; It was through the many summer vacations the children learned to read the map.&nbsp; The kids learned many things on vacation:&nbsp; where to stop for picnics and NEVER feed Dad before lunch!!&nbsp; He would not be hungry when everyone else was.&nbsp; He was proud to have traveled to over thirty different countries.&nbsp; He was known to visit hours with someone about farming, even if they didn’t speak English.&nbsp; He and his family were able to return to the ‘old country’ to find and meet his Norwegian ancestors.

As the children were growing up, they learned by his example of farming:&nbsp; to problem solve, love what you do, and do it right the first time if possible.

He met his future wife, Beverly Weidman on a blind date.&nbsp; They celebrated their 50th&nbsp;wedding anniversary in 2019.&nbsp; She survives at their rural Robinson home.

Also surviving are their children Diane Ward (Jim) of Hiawatha, Julie Dolesilek (Shawn) of Topeka, Lance Albertson (Cheryl Churchlek) of Corvallis, Oregon; grandchildren Mason and Brenna Ward, Julian and Irene Churchlek.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents.

Marion E. “Meg” (Gholston) Branson, 72, Savannah, Missouri, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2020. 

She was born October 29, 1947, in Birmingham, Alabama, to Richard and Marion (Starr) Gholston. Meg was a proud member of the Cherokee Nation and descended from the brave people who helped settle the Cherokee lands in Eastern Oklahoma following their removal on the infamous “Trail of Tears”. She was also the proud granddaughter of Dr. Orange W. Starr, aka “Cherokee Medicine Man”, who delivered an estimated 4,000 babies, whom he dubbed “Starr-Brand Babies”.

Meg grew up in Oklahoma City where she attended Belle Isle Elementary, Taft Junior High, and graduated from Northwest Classen in 1965. She then went on to attend the University of Oklahoma where she received her Bachelor’s degree in History. She was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority where she made many lifelong friends. For the rest of her life, she was a proud and loyal Sooner fan (Boomer Sooner!).

She married Ray “Skip” Branson in 1969, and in 1981 she and her family moved to Midland, Texas, where she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Junior League and was editor of its Tumbleweed Magazine, but, most importantly, she spent her time being a wonderful stay-at-home Mom. When her kids were older, she went back to school and received her Master’s degree in Counseling from the University of Texas-Permian Basin and spent the majority of her career as a Licensed Professional Counselor at the Centers for Children and Families.

Meg was a “people” person, and people were drawn to her incredible sense of humor. Meg was always the life of the party, never met a stranger, happy-go-lucky, and was always running late, an enduring quality we all grew to love! She was also one of the smartest, kindest, most thoughtful and caring women. A doting Mother and GrandMeg and she will be greatly missed by all who were lucky enough to know her. Rest in peace, sweet Meg. Gone too soon but never forgotten. We love you a bushel and a peck!

Eva I. McQueen, 101, Hamilton, Missouri, passed away Friday, October 30, 2020.

She was born February 20, 1919 in Agency, Missouri to Mullie and Amanda (Jones) Roark. Eva married James McQueen on her birthday in 1943; he preceded her in death in 1979. In her own words, she loved gardening, flowers and even farm work. Eva enjoyed mushroom hunting; you could see her carrying a hoe and walking the fence line in her search.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Henrietta Groce (Eddie); stepdaughter, Opal Bush; sister, Lorene Purdy; brothers, Roy Roark, Henry Roark and Andy Roark.

Survivors include her sons, Walter “Sonny” McQueen, Calvin McQueen (Iola), David McQueen (Anna); several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and extended family.

Judith M. “Judy” McClain,78, St. Joseph, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2020.

She was born November 14, 1941, in St. Joseph to Sgt. A.I. and Nellie Mae (Morrison) McClard. Judy married James T. “Tom” McClain on June 16, 1968. He survives of the home. She graduated from Central High School in 1959, then later went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in music education from Northwest Missouri State University. She was a music teacher with the St. Joseph School District for 29 years. She was a member of Family Worship Center, Retired Teachers Association, NUMC Camping Club, Fort Nightly Musical Club; and Alpha Delta Kappa teachers’ sorority. Judy loved music, RV-ing, Ladies Bible Study and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sgt. A.I. and Nellie Mae McClard; a sister, Janet Jones; and a grandson, Wyatt Bradley.

Survivors include her husband, Tom McClain; children, Camille McClain and Kristin Powell (Jack); grandchildren, Hayley, Nicholas, Saryn, Chase, Brennan and Caden; and great-grandchildren, Myrah and Willow.

William Fenner “Bill” Tatum, 74, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2020.

He was born July 27, 1946 in St. Joseph, Missouri to William and Claire (Fenner) Tatum. He was a member of Huffman Memorial United Methodist Church. Bill also had several other memberships including, 50 year member of Charity/Zeredatha Masonic Lodge #189, Moila Shrine, York Rite Bodies serving as Illustrious Master of Council #9, High Priest of Royal Arch Mitchell Chapter #14, Eminent Commander Hugh De Paynes Commandery #4. While serving as Commander of the Order of The Temple Degree, he knighted over 1000 members over 50 years. He also served as Puissant Sovereign Red Cross of Constantine. Bill was also a member of Edwin C. Carpenter York Rite College #181, Allied Masonic Degrees (AMD), High Twelve Club #49 and currently serving as trustee of Frank S. Land Fund for the High Twelve #49. Bill was a retired truck driver having logged over a million miles in his career.

He was preceded in death by daughter, Brandi Newquist; and his parents.

Survivors include wife of 36 years, Carol Tatum; children, Chris Ruwwe, St. Joseph, MO, Twilya L’Ecuyer (Tom), Morrowsville, KS, Tina Evans and Travis Henry, St. Joseph, MO; grandchildren, Lane Evans(Zoey), Blake Henry (Sophie Loving), Brooke Henry, all of St. Joseph, MO, Olivia and Autumn L’Ecuyer, Morrowsville, KS; great-grandchildren, Brinley, Lincoln, and Finn; sisters, Marsha Brendle (Bob), St. Joseph, MO, Jan Pederson (Rich), Llano, TX; brothers-in-law, Bob Hull, Maryville, MO, Randy Hull, Elmo, MO; numerous nieces and nephews.

William Fenner “Bill” Tatum  1946 - 2020

William Walden Shimer 91, of St. Joseph, Missouri passed away at home with his family by his side, on Wednesday, October 28, 2020. 

He was born November 19,1928 in St. Joseph, Missouri. Son of the late Nellie &amp; Earl Shimer. He worked at Continental Can, Gerber, and was a self-employed carpenter. He was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses . He loved the Bible and the promises therein, including the coming earthly paradise. He wanted others to know these wonderful promises as well, that is why one of his greatest joys was spending time in the volunteer ministry to help others come to understand the Bible. William Walden Shimer 91, of St. Joseph, Missouri passed away at home with his family by his side, on Wednesday, October 28, 2020. He was born November 19,1928 in St. Joseph, Missouri. Son of the late Nellie &amp; Earl Shimer. He worked at Continental Can, Gerber, and was a self-employed carpenter. He was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses . He loved the Bible and the promises therein, including the coming earthly paradise. He wanted others to know these wonderful promises as well, that is why one of his greatest joys was spending time in the volunteer ministry to help others come to understand the Bible. He loved his family and friends, and had the gift of making his friends feel like family. He was born December 14, 1959 in St. Joseph, MO, son of the late Katherine and James Mihelic. He graduated from Benton High School and he worked at Carpenters Union Local 110 as a carpenter. He enjoyed listening to old music, playing cards, playing the lottery, making wine, drinking a few beers, and giving people the business, and spending time with his family. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church. 

John was preceded in death by his parents, brother, James Michael Mihelic, sister, Cathy Ann Mihelic.

Ronald Lee Dombrowski, 69, of St. Joseph, died October 29, 2020.&nbsp; Ronald was born January 13, 1951 to Joseph and Rose (Carroll) Dombrowski.

He had worked in inventory management with Walmart.&nbsp;

Survivors include two nephews, Frank Dombrowski, Karl Dombrowski; a niece Rosemarie Dombrowski; great-nieces, great nephews; other relatives and friends.

He loved animals and played baseball when he was younger.

Ronald has been cremated under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith &amp; Sidenfaden Chapel.&nbsp; There will be no services at this time.

Robert L. Sigrist, 95, of&nbsp; St. Joseph passed away Thursday, October 29, 2020 at his residence.

He was born on October 7, 1925 in Weston, MO, to the late Edward and Emma Sigrist

Robert served his country from 1943-1946 in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theater of operations. during his service he attained the rank of&nbsp; Motor Machinist's Mate 3rd Class and was awarded the Asiatic-Pacific Medal, the American Campaign Medal and the Victory Medal.

Robert married Phyllis DeVorss on January 22, 1949 in St. Joseph, MO. She survives him of the home.

He began his working life as a machinist with the Goetz Brewery and later with Gray Manufacturing, both of St. Joseph.

He enjoyed woodworking and gardening and was always known to be quick to offer others a helping hand.

Robert was a member of and actively involved with the Green Valley Baptist Church. He was particularly fond of the Tuesday Morning Men's Breakfast at the church.

Mr. Sigrist was preceded in death by his parents and 10 of his siblings.

In addition to his wife of 71 years, He is survived by their daughters; Marsha McClain and Kathy Burns-Hoffman, a sister; Dorothy Boyce, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Due to COVID concerns, no public visitation or services are currently scheduled.

Memorial Services with Military Honors will be scheduled at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer that memorial contributions be made to the Green Valley Baptist Church.

Richard “Rick” Henry Weidmaier, 68, of Wathena, Kansas, died at home unexpectedly of a heart attack on October 28, 2020.

Rick was born on April 1, 1952 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Arthur and Betty Weidmaier. He attended St. Patrick’s and graduated from Christian Brothers in 1970. He married Jeanie (Hewins) on May 17th, 1980.

Rick worked various jobs throughout his life including Kentucky Fried Chicken, Affiliated Foods and Acme Vending. He retired in 2013 and spent his days fishing, driving his dog Hoss around and enjoying his favorite sports teams. He was also a celebrated cook and caterer, winning many awards for his BBQ including the American Royal. Friends and family always looked forward to his signature “Rachel” sandwiches. Ask anyone who knew him, and all would agree that Uncle Rick loved life and enjoyed the ride.

Rick is survived by his wife Jeanie, son Eric (Bailey); Brothers: David (Kennetha), John (Sandy), Mark (Susan), Danny (Connie); Sisters: Lisa (Earl) Puett, Diane (Jeff) Kuenne. He also had many close family members including numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

He was born November 9, 1959 to Fritz and Della (Goben) Gust. DeWayne graduated from Benton High School. He worked at Prime Tanning for 23 years and Silgan Containers for the past 6 years. DeWayne was a man that was happy with a simple life. He enjoyed being outdoors fishing and hunting. He loved to joke with everyone but mostly his grandkids. Our lives are shattered by his sudden death. There is forever a hole in our lives, but we know he is now free and will be watching over us.

He was preceded in death by his mother; grandparents, John and Opal Gust, Delbert and Minnie Goben.

He was born Feb. 4, 1978, in Ashland, Oregon, son of Edward Hamilton and Sandra (Bair) Eldredge. He worked as a Controls Engineer at Show-Me Industrial Controls, Inc.. He enjoyed horror movies, attending horror conventions, tattoos, collecting and shooting firearms, hunting, fishing, communicating through his ham radio and spending time with his family and grandson. Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Edward; grandson, Dimitri; paternal grandparents; maternal grandparents and nephew, Marcus Klepees. Donald H. Salmons 72, of Saint Joseph, Missouri passed away Wednesday October 28, 2020 at Mosaic Life Care Hospital. 

He was born December 31, 1947 in St. Joseph, Missouri son of the late Merrell &amp; Lester Salmons. He graduated from Savannah High School class of 1965, and retired from Johnson Controls. He enjoyed hunting, and he was a cowboy he loved to rope an loved the sport of (heading an heeling ) He was a Christian. 

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Gene Salmons. 

Survivors include his companion, Margaret Frye of the home, twin brother, Ronnie Salmons, St. Joseph, MO, nieces, Kim Westhoff, and Missy (Ryan) McClurg, St. Joseph, MO, , MO, great nieces &amp; nephew, Rylan &amp; Maggie McClurg, Tieler &amp; Matt Salmons. his dog Zeus "Buddy" and horse, Smoke.

Robert "Bobby" Allen Wood 63, of Faucett, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at his home. 

He was born October 26, 1957 in St. Joseph, MO, son of the late Mary and William Wood. He graduated from Mid Buchanan High School, class of 1975 and worked at numerous jobs the last retiring from Fort Leavenworth in the maintenance department. He also helped on the family farm. He enjoyed spending time with Terrann and Sal, raising livestock, tending to his farm and yard, cutting wood and buying &amp; selling cars. He was a Christian. 

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents. 

Survivors include, daughter Terrann (Sal Occhipinti) Wood, Annette Wood (Terranns mother), brothers, Dewayne (Becky) Wood, Gaylan (Nigel) Wood, and Melvin (Melissa) Wood, sister, Francine Wood, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Ellen Faye Lilley was born on March 13, 1946 to Arthur and Helen Lilley. Along with her seven brothers and sisters, Ellen grew up in the suburbs of St. Louis. She graduated from Central Missouri State College, became a teacher, and settled in Savannah. Ellen taught Art and English in the Savannah school system, starting at the middle school in 1969. Later in her career, having completed her Master’s degree in Administration, she worked as an administrator in Savannah’s schools. All told, a passionate, skilled educator for 37 years — Ellen loved this town.

As a young person, Ellen showed early talent for art and music. All her life, she kept developing these remarkable gifts, which expressed themselves in myriad ways: singing in the choir at Savannah United Methodist church (what part did you want sung? Ellen could handle it); watercolors, sculpture, calligraphy, cake-decorating, photography. All this and more came through Ellen,&nbsp;out&nbsp;to others wherever she went: Ellen could make a choir rehearsal on a cold rainy night fun; she could make her classes on a sweltering Thursday afternoon challenging, interesting, important. Somewhere along the line in her career, by others’ observation,

Ellen mastered the mystery of teaching. How many young people in Savannah first learned to love art, drawing, painting in her classes; how many first developed the skill of writing or recognized their appreciation for a good story in Ellen’s English classes? Over her long, rich career as a teacher, Ellen gave countless students a sense of worth, a desire to learn and make something of themselves.

Ellen’s talent, her gifts, her energy, her giving nature, her love of people — all flowed freely from a deep well of love and faith; this love of life itself got expressed not only in service to her near-community — Savannah — but also to her far-community. Ellen’s journey carried her on church missions trips to Mozambique, Africa, working to make sure that the people of the villages got clean, fresh water from a new well.

Ellen grew to love the people of Mozambique. She befriended one family that eventually came to America and settled into Christian ministry in NW Missouri. When she learned they needed transportation, Ellen gave them her car. When all things are considered, Ellen would probably most want to be remembered for her giving nature. For those who knew her, this will not be hard.

All her life, Ellen would try anything. Milk a cow? Sure! Letting a great elephant side up to her in the wild in Mozambique? Not a big deal: unflappable Ellen said: “I’ve never been next to anything that big before!” She appreciated all of God’s creation, not the least her beloved dogs: Angie, Buffy, Hansel and Gretel, Paris, and Belle. Ellen took in foster children; gave them a truly loving, stable home. With a friend in a field of sunflowers? Bring a whole bunch back to class so the students can draw them. She never stopped being creative.

You might also say that Ellen had the gift of friendship.She made friends easily, it seemed, wherever she went. Some of these friendships were life-long: her deep long-lasting friendship with her Beta Omega Sisters was something she always treasured. To put it lightly, she lived an active retirement — teaching GED classes, continuing to serve her church, staying close to her friends and family. Through her entire life, Ellen shared with us all her intellect, knowledge, wisdom, joy, faith and love.

Early in the morning of October 24, after a long illness — her journey here completed — Ellen passed quietly into the presence of her Lord. Surely, Ellen Lilley left her mark: an indelible imprint on all who really knew her. Ellen — her LIFE — pressed in on us, and now she is gone. But her imprint remains.

In a quiet moment, thank God for Ellen. If you knew her, you were blessed.&nbsp;Remember&nbsp;our sister, our aunt, our colleague, our neighbor, our friend. And ponder this: were each of us — were you also — her student?

Brinnin L. Bolinger, 27, of St. Joseph passed away October 25, 2020.&nbsp; Brinnin was born February 5, 1993 in St. Joseph, to Brian Lee Bolinger and Beth A. Schneider.

He was a graduate of Central High School and had studied at Missouri Western.&nbsp; Brinnin was a sheet metal apprentice for Seman &amp; Schuske Metal Works.

Survivors include his mother Beth A. Miller, father Brian L. Bolinger; step-parents Maggie Bailey and Bobby Miller; Brinnin's children, Aurora Logan Bolinger, Claire Katheryn Bolinger and their mother Stephanie Dilley; siblings, Bryceton T. Bolinger, Brooklynn H. Miller, Lennon Bolinger, Elijah Bolinger; grandparents, Jill M. Donelson, Fred and Melody Schneider, Rick and Anna Bolinger, Debbie Bolinger (Leah Twomley); aunts and uncles, Lauren (Tate) Christgen, Reed (Katie) Schneider, Mike Distafino and Michelle Heart, Brandie (Rex) Knowles, John Gallentine, Joe (Joanie) Gallentine; nephews, Keaton N. Howard L. Miller 87 of St. Joseph, formerly of Savannah, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at a health care facility in Savannah. He was born in Madison, Missouri, on October 3, 1933. to the late Amos and Pearl Miller. Howard was preceded in death by his Mother and Father in 1992. He graduated from the Madison Missouri High School in 1951. A United States Army Veteran, Howard served in Korea. Howard married Mary L. (Lou) Foster on June 23, 1957, She survives him of the home. Prior to and following his military service, he helped operate an 880 acre farm in Central Missouri, managed by his parents. For over 10 years Howard was Data Processing Operations Manager at A. B. Chance Company, Centralia, MO. The next 6 years he was an Accountant and Manager of Data Processing at Schmidt and Company CPA's, Kansas City, MO. Howard became Office Manager of Northwest Missouri Electric Cooperative, Savannah, MO and retired as General Manager in 1996. He had served as Board Member of NW Electric Power Cooperative, Cameron, MO and The Association of Missouri Electric Cooperatives, Jefferson City, MO for several years. Howard was a member of the First Baptist Church of Savannah and had served as Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, Sunday School Secretary and member of various committees. In addition to his wife of 63 years, he is survived by son; Robert A. (Pam) Miller, Belton, MO, daughter; Kerry Brewer (Wendell Wood), Kansas City, MO, granddaughters; Charly Brewer, Meadville, MO, and Hannah Brewer, Omaha, NE. Due to COVID concerns there will be no public visitation or services held. A private graveside service and interment with full military honors will be held at the Savannah Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the First Baptist Church in Savannah or the Friends of the Animal Shelter in St. Joseph. Donald R. Phillippe, 64, went to heaven on October 27, 2020, with his wife and children lovingly by his side. He had spent the preceding days with family reminiscing and exchanging loving thoughts. Don had fought valiantly with cancer the past three years. The Lord decided he had had enough.

Don was born to Wayne and Norma (Sechler) Phillippe on January 8, 1956, in St. Joseph. He grew up in St. Joseph and on his aunt and uncle’s farm near Avenue City, Missouri. He went to Savannah and Central High Schools. He married his high school sweetheart, Pam Simpson, on March 28, 1975. They were best friends as well as the loves of their lives. Don worked for Farmland Industries, now Omnium, for almost 45 years. His passion was cars and most anything mechanical. Besides building and painting numerous beautiful cars over the years, he enjoyed flying remote-control model planes, racing remote-control cars and go-karts. Earlier in his life, he raced hobby stock, modifieds and winged Sprint cars at Savannah Speedway. He also was a volunteer firefighter for the Cosby-Helena Fire Department.

Don was preceded in death by his mother, Norma Landers; his father, Wayne Phillippe; stepfather, Kenneth Landers; and infant brother, Ricky.

He is survived by the love of his life, Pamela Phillippe; his brothers, Larry Phillippe (Faye), Allan Phillippe (Bridget) and Dan Landers; his sisters, Lisa West (Jim) and Jeanne Jones (Jeff); his children, Brian Phillippe (Beth Miller) and Laura Pike (Aaron); his grandchildren, Jessica Phillippe (Paul Pease), Chance, Justin and Aiden Pike and Chance Angold (Summer Bebee); his great-grandchildren, Lily, Sawyer and Arrayah; Aunt Virginia Phillippe; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; father-in-law, Robert Simpson; brothers-in-law, Doug Simpson (Anita) and David Simpson (Darla).

Robert “Dane” King, 31, Platte City, Missouri, formerly of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2020.

He was born April 4, 1989 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Steven and Teresa (Shanks) King. Dane was a member of Hillsong Church and the Olympic Gym, Kansas City, Missouri. He graduated from Benton High School in 2007. Dane attended Jump School in Fort Benning, Georgia and served in the United States Army stationed in Louisiana for a year. He was part owner of a landscaping business and worked for ABC Tire in Kansas City, Missouri. Dane enjoyed weightlifting, his landscaping business, spending time with his family and he loved the Lord.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Shirley Badart; grandfather, Robert D. King; step-grandfather, Ray Kerns, Sr.; uncles, Charles and Danny Shanks, Jimmy Schulze.

Survivors include parents; brothers, Sheldon King (Nicole), Dustin Norris (Brandi); the love of his life, Elizabeth Sease and her children, Mason, Marlie and Austin; aunts, Brenda Reed (Gary), Karla Schulze, Bobbi Jordan; uncles, Robert King, Doug King (Sandra), Mark Hicks (Lisa); grandmother, Lorene Kerns; grandparents, Bobby and Wilma Shanks; special niece, Halle Norris; other numerous nieces, nephews and special friend Linda Daniels.

Rhonda Lee Bisig, 55, of St. Joseph, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph. 

She was born December 7, 1964 in St. Joseph, daughter of Judy and Norman Hardin Sr. She attended Savannah High School. Rhonda enjoyed crafting and gardening, most of all she dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren. She attended Praise Fellowship Church of God . 

Rhonda was preceded in death by father, Norman Hardin Sr. and brother, Mark Hardin. 

Survivors include, mother, Judy Hardin of St. Joseph, children, Zachary (Janette) Solomon of Amity, MO, Krista (Jeremy) Shellenberger of Troy, KS, and Joseph Soloman of St Joseph, 9 grandchildren, Blaine, Kylee, Rylee, Avery, Soloman, Emma, Eli, Kelsie, and Tegan, brother, Norman (Cindy) Hardin Jr. of St. Joseph and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 6:00 pm, Monday, November 2, 2020 at Rupp Funeral Home, Pastor Travis Darnell officiating, The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Monday at the Rupp Funeral Home. Jack Krugh, 83, of Wathena, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph. 

He was born March 17, 1937 in Roseland, TX, son of Minta Powers and Roland Krugh. He graduated from Ravenwood High School, class of 1955. Also in 1955, Jack enlisted in the U.S. Navy, where he served as a Seaman on the USS Shangri-LA. Following his military service he began working at Wire Rope Corporation, retiring in 1999. Jack was a kind hearted and easy going guy and always enjoyed helping others. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and playing bingo. 

Jack was preceded in death by his father, Roland Krugh, mother, Minta Powers and wife, Rita Vanhouten-Krugh. 

Survivors include, companion of 24 years, Ruby Smith of Wathena, KS, children, Dorothy (Jim) Shafer of Omaha, NE, Debbie Pasley of Independence, MO, Angie Drown of Vermont, David (Cathy) Krugh of Ft. Gordon, GA, 2 sisters, Francis and Melba, 5 grandchildren, Kayla, Ben, Tom, Aubree, and Alrya, 3 great-grandchildren, Liam, Baker, Kara, niece, Lori Mulhern.

Linda S. Lakatos, 73, of St. Joseph died Tuesday,&nbsp; October &nbsp;27, 2020 at her residence.

Linda was born October 12, 1947 in St. Joseph, MO to Raymond “Dale” and Georgia Cornelius. She graduated in 1968 from Methodist Hospital School of Nursing and later completed her B.S. in Nursing at Northwest Missouri State University.

Throughout her 44-year nursing career, Linda worked in many areas including the emergency room, patient education, staff development, case management, and home health.&nbsp; She was a certified Diabetic Educator.

Linda was an active member of First Baptist Church of St. Joseph. She enjoyed gardening, entertaining, but most importantly, time with her 3 grandchildren. She is survived her son, Ken Monach of St. Joseph; daughter, Beth Sherman (Jon) of Weatherford, TX; brother, Bud Cornelius (Carla); sister, Cindy Arter; grandchildren, Emily Rose and Jacob Sherman, Mary Grace Monach; and 5 nieces and nephews.&nbsp; She was preceded in death by her parents.

Ms. Lakatos has been cremated under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith &amp; Sidenfaden Chapel.
