GREENE COUNTY—One person died in an accident just after 9:30a.m. Tuesday in Greene County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2016 Kia Soul driven by Jennifer M. Hood, 30, Carl Junction, was northbound on U.S. 65 one mile north of Springfield.
The driver failed to negotiate a curve. The car traveled off the left side of the road, crossed the median into oncoming traffic and struck a southbound 2016 Toyota Corolla driven by Madison A. Rues, 18, Pleasant Hope head-on.
Hood was pronounced dead at the scene. EMS transported Rues and a passenger Andrew J. Rues, 49, Pleasant Hope, to Mercy Springfield. All three were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
