CLINTON COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just after 8p.m. Friday in Clinton County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2004 Chevy 2500 driven by Donald W. Summer, 73, Lathrop, was eastbound on MO 116 one mile east of Plattsburg.
The driver suffered a medical emergency and failed to negotiate a curve. The pickup traveled off the north side of the road, crossed a private road and struck a road sign. The towed unit of the pickup became detached and landed in the middle of the road. The pickup continued southbound across MO 116 and struck a building.
Tri-County ambulance transported Summer to Liberty Hospital. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP.
